Keep North Dakota Clean
Third grade took part in the "Keep North Dakota Clean" contest recently. The statewide theme for third grade is "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle." The kids all did a fantastic job on their posters and really took their time to be very neat. I am very proud of their hard work.Caylee Walth is our first place winner, Lauren Fandrich won second place and Savanna Bader won third place.
Caylee's poster will be sent to the state level for judging with all the local winners in the state.
GOOD LUCK Caylee!!!!

MARCH IS READING MONTH!!!!
March Madness is upon us and we will be reading like "mad" this month. Third grade students are required to read 100 minutes a week outside of school during the month of March. Please help your child reach his/her goal by setting time aside each day for them to read in a quiet place.

After we read our reading story, " What Do Illustrators Do" the kids wrote a story and then exchanged the story with a partner. The partner then read the story and had to illustrate a cover and inside picture for a book. The kids did a great job. The kids shared the illustrations and read the story to the rest of the class.
It's Valentine's Day in school today. We are sharing valentines and having a little party Wednesday because we will all be at home tomorrow on Valentine's Day.
The kids were very creative with their boxes. We are also going to watch the movie "Shiloh." We finished reading the book a few weeks ago and were looking for an opportunity to watch it.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!!
